Now
here’s a thing!
Yesterday,
Ralph Sims, the drummer with the old Raiders band I was with sixty years ago, found
himself in a small town called Geraldine on the South Island of New Zealand.
Spotting a café-cum-vinyl-record-shop, he and wife Cathy naturally repaired
there for coffee.
The
first thing he spotted on the wall for sale was an original copy of “Creation”!
Having cautioned the owner against disposing of such a valuable artefact, Ralph
had him remove it from the wall to prove its authenticity – in the process,
recording the occasion for posterity.
So,
my new favourite record shop in the world is Record Keeper in Geraldine, NZ!
As
everyone knows, once they take hold, you just can’t get rid of Dandelions…
