Beau - "The Titanic Tragedy" and Encyclopedia Titanica...

I just discovered an excellent site – Encyclopedia Titanica – which contains a veritable wealth of info on the tragic loss in 1912 of RMS Titanic, en route at the time to New York.

It reminded me of this never-before-seen video from years ago of my song, “The Titanic Tragedy”

The track came out in April 2012 a hundred years to the day after the sinking, on the download and vinyl LP, “The Way It Was”.

Beau - "Live In Lichfield" (2012) - the full soundboard recording...

It’s a sort of ’tween Xmas and New Year prezzie!

This is the full live set from the gig on 14th April 2012 at the George IV, Lichfield. It was the launch show for my new Ritual Echo vinyl LP, “The Way It Was”.

Several people have asked if the soundboard recording was going to be made available. Well here it is; for all those who couldn’t make it on the night or those who’d like to hear it again…

There's a small amount of low-level noise during the spoken passages - maybe a bit of unshielded cable somewhere on the line. It’s not particularly intrusive. Also, a recorder malfunction occurred lasting around 15 seconds during 'The Titanic Tragedy'. Luckily, another recording of the set was sourced and a splice inserted for the lost section. There is a difference in quality but I don’t think anyone’s enjoyment will be spoiled!

Recorded in Lichfield, Staffordshire, grateful thanks are due to Chris McGranaghan & James Brough who made everything happen on the night.

Concert and Mastering Engineer - James Brough
Additional Engineering - Trevor Midgley
Concert Producer - Chris McGranaghan

Enjoy!

"The Way It Was" - BRAND NEW RELEASE!

I have some “Stop Press” news!

Today, Cherry Red Records in the UK has issued “The Way It Was” (Cherry Red BEAU2011), a download-only album with fifteen brand new recordings.

This is my first purpose-recorded release since “Creation” back in 1971. “The Way It Was” is available as we speak through Amazon, iTunes and all major download sites worldwide.

There’s a dedicated web page here and you can check out the lyrics, backgrounds to the songs and detailed recording info in the digital booklet here. Enjoy!
