"Silence Returns" in "For The Wild" podcast...

It’s always fascinating to know where and how one’s songs are used!

Today I’ve been pointed to the Canadian “For The Wild” podcast, hosted by a lady called Ayana Young.

This cast dates from 2018, and opens – after Ms Young’s opening remarks – with the vocal section of “Silence Returns” from the “Creation” album.

The meat of the podcast is an interview with activist author Adrienne Maree Brown.

"Silence Returns" on "Uneasy Listening"...

Many thanks to Rachel C for featuring "Silence Returns" on her "Surprise Fuzz" edition of "Uneasy Listening" (WPRB Princeton) a couple of weeks back.

AND, it opened the show (straight after her Bay City Rollers sig tune...!)

Psychobabble speaks...

Just spotted this really nice Stateside review of Cherry Red’s “Dust On The Nettles” box set. Love the quote, “The chainsaw-massacre guitar on Beau’s “Silence Returns” is so intense it makes the track self combust for a spell.”

That’s what you get when you let Jim Milne out of his cage…

Uncle Lakis Presents "Forgotten Tales From the Old Albion Vol.12"...

Thanks for the inclusion, Uncle Lakis!

New video of "Silence Returns" on YouTube...

A rather moving video of "Silence Returns" from "Creation" has appeared on YouTube in the last couple of days.

I don't know who made it, but if you're one of my Facebook friends or Google + followers under another name, many thanks!!

"Dust On The Nettles" on YouTube...

An almost complete collection of performances of tracks on Grapefruit Record's excellent "Dust On The Nettles" compilation has appeared on YouTube. "Silence Returns" is in there, weaving its gentle magic!

Someone's done some hard work...

Caught In The Act reviews "Dust On The Nettles"...

Excellent and detailed review by Brian Banks in the latest Caught In The Act of Grapefruit Records' "Dust On The Nettles" extravaganza.

And thanks for the name-check, Brian!

"Silence Returns" on "Dust On The Nettles" box set...

It's great Grapefruit Records have included "Silence Returns" on their new “Dust On The Nettles” box set!

This is a superb 3CD anthology of the best of UK underground folk between 1967 and 1972 with Pentangle, the Incredibles, Steeleye Span and a good spattering of us Dandelioners!

I particularly love the comment in Psychobabble’s review: “The chainsaw-massacre guitar on Beau’s “Silence Returns” is so intense it makes the track self combust for a spell”!

Wise words, and all credit again to Jim Milne!

Enjoy!
