Vinyl re-release of "Creation"...

Some interesting vinyl news!

The Italian Trading Places label have recently reissued the Beau 1971 “Creation” album on vinyl.
 
It’s been available in Europe for a few weeks now, but in the bizarre way Trading Places operate, it’s not slated for release in the USA and the rest of the world until Friday 27^th May (no, I don’t understand it either!).
 
However, it is literally listed all over the place – Google ‘Beau Creation “Trading Places”’ – including would you believe US supermarket chain, Walmart! I honestly didn’t think I was that middle-of-the-road!
 
One small but significant point; the album lists “sky dance (take one) (prev. unreleased on vinyl, 1972) as a “bonus”. First, this isn’t “take one” – it’s the original “sampler LP” release version of the track (which was in fact “take two”); and second, this take has by definition been previously released on vinyl, albeit way back in the mists of time.

 
Sadly, I had no input into the preparation of this issue. If I had, the mistake wouldn’t have occurred, but hey ho…
 
All that said, it’s a really nice presentation, a decent pressing on 180gm vinyl, and has an attractive custom label. All-in-all, an essential purchase I’d say, if you haven’t already got the album!
 
But then, I’m biased…
