Cold Spring Records releases "The Roses Of Eyam"...

Some really interesting – if weird – news…

Cold Spring Records began their mammoth “Dark Britannica” anthology of British folk back in 2007 with a double-CD called “John Barleycorn Reborn”.

It was finally confirmed last evening that Vol. 4 (the final double-CD in the series) has now been sent for mastering and that my original 1975 recording of “The Roses Of Eyam” is to be included.

This project has taken a long time to come to fruition!

This new and final release in the series, #CSR252CD, is entitled – wait for it! – “The  Forme To The Fynisment Foldes Ful Selden”!

Now, I have to admit my olde English is a bit rusty, but the blessed Google tells me this roughly translates as The beginning seldom accords with the end” and is a quote from “Sir Gawain and the Green Knight”.

So now you know!

“The  Forme To The Fynisment Foldes Ful Selden” should be out soon and, if it’s anything like its predecessors, should be excellent. Watch this space!

And on that note…
