"Its now 47 years on from his first release on John Peels DANDELION label and to celebrate his 70th birthday Cherry Red are proud to release this latest offering from the maestro of the 12 string.
The whole album was written in an incredible 14 day burst of creativity and contains songs about lifeboat disasters, patriotism, surveillance and showbiz comebacks.
Beau contacted me directly earlier this month with a link to the album and having played and digested the material over the last few weeks there is much to enjoy here. I’ve been a fan of his since I discovered his DANDELION album “Creation” many many years ago now. Still contemporary in his outlook on life and a creative and highly individual tunesmith. If you like what you hear here and are yet to check him out do so without haste and if you can track down a copy of “CREATION” which I believe should still be readily available as a re-issue.
