Beau - "Reflections" on World War I...

It’s 2014. In July of this year we’ll be commemorating the centenary of the outbreak of World War I, “The War To End All Wars”.

This song – “Reflections” – is one of several I’ve written over time about the Great War. It appears on the “Edge Of The Dark” CD / download, released by Angel Air Records back in 2009.

The “Haig” mentioned in the lyric is Field-Marshal Douglas Haig.

Haig commanded the British forces during the Battle of the Somme and the casualties he was prepared to accept earned him the nickname, “Butcher” Haig.
