“Flowers Of The Sea” from “Edge Of The Dark”
André Steijns of BRTO Radio asked me in an interview some time back what
“Flowers Of The Sea”
was all about. Since then, several people have asked the same question.
It’s pretty straightforward, really. All life on Earth came from the sea. It’s generally reckoned that behind every man, woman and child alive at the moment, thirteen have gone before.
This song says simply that all any of us are, have been or ever will be is a flower of the sea. Each verse tells in one way or another how inevitably we grow, fade and die…
